Disaggregated SDWAN Dataplane Stack
Developed a disaggregated forwarding stack for TCP/IP/IPv6 and integrated with DPDK. The disaggregated forwarding stack was integrated to intel based SDWAN white box or VNF. The forwarding Stack was integrated to Metaswitch Routing Stack and Configuration and Management was Tail-f Netconf Integration.
DPI, ALG VNF Service Chaining
Integrated QOSMOS DPI Engine to the Packet processing library for application detection of each session and session level telemetry. PJSIP Stack was integrated to the library for SIP, RTP, FTP header parsing. The library was used to derive various Security functions like DPI, ALG, Firewall, CGNAT that could be deployed as a White box or VNF.
10G Customer Edge Gateway
Developed the Forward Information Base in NXP DPAA SDK for an Enterprise Gateway. It ran the FRR Routing Stack that supported LDP, OSPF, BGP protocols. The Gateway aggregates IP traffic from various ports and acts as a CE router for the MPLS VPN Cloud.
Disaggregated Access Router Broadcom
Added IPv6 6PE and 6VPE support on Broadcom White box with IP Infusion Routing Stack. The Disaggregated White box supported Broadcom Qumran and Katana Chipset. Added multiple enhancement to OSPF, BGP, LDP, RSVP, TE-FRR protocols for IPv6 support.
DPI as a Network Virtual Function
Created a Deep Packet Inspection Engine that identifies each session and classifies the Application. The DPI supported 80Gbps throughput and 4 Million Subscriber. The DPI is a CNFs with DPDK deployed in Inline or Offline mode for both 4G or 5G across multiple sites. The DPI CNFs across sites were managed using Kubernetes. Both Diameter, IPFIX and REST were used for configuration, billing and AAA.
Industrial IOT Gateway
Developed Industrial IOT Gateway that communicate with IOT sensors to collect data and transfer it to Cloud using MQTT, REST. IOT Gateway runs as a Docker Container and communicates with IOT sensors, the Gateway can actuate a command based on the data collected and configured policy. The device data is frequently exported to the Cloud, the cloud periodically updates policies in the IOT Gateway.
PCEF and Traffic Management NFV
Developed a CNF to enforce policy on the packet based on policies. The TCP/IP Stack was upgraded to support Traffic Management & Shaper, Traffic Steering, Parental Control policies. The CNFs used DPDK for User Plane and deployed in inline mode for both 4G and 5G.
Ezchip based MPLS-VPN Router
Developed MPLS-VPN Forwarding Plane using Ezchip microcode and integrated it to the Routing Control Plane Stack. Control Plane supported MPLS-VPN, MP BGP, OSPF, ISIS, LDP, VLAN, Q-in-Q and Static routes. The router was deployed as a Provider Edge for MPLS VPN Cloud.
